Meet Nurse Daley
Hello, CCA families! My name is Ana Daley and I have been a nurse for 23 years. I spent the majority of my nursing career in the hospital setting. Eighteen of those years were spent working with children in critical care. I have thoroughly enjoyed my last two years as the school nurse at CCA and I cannot wait to start my 3rd year here. I grew up in Florida and did travel nursing for 4 years. That is when I met my husband, also a nurse, in New York while on an assignment and we have been married for 15 years. We have 3 wonderful, active children, who all attend CCA. I’m so excited for the next school year and I hope that your kids are too!
Medication
When necessary, medications may be given to students while at school. All medications that are administered to students must have a medication authorization form signed by both the child’s healthcare provider and the parent. All prescription medications must have a pharmacy label with the child’s name. Over the counter medications may be administered as well, but must be delivered in the original container and also have a medication authorization form with the child’s healthcare provider and parent signature. All medications must be brought to the school and checked in by the nurse. Please see pages 51-52 of the Parent Student Handbook for details concerning medications. If you have any further questions, please contact Nurse Daley at nurse@carolinacharter.org.
